The
date is fixed: the 3rd. Mallorca Western Festival will take place from
Thursday 18th to Sunday 21st of September 2008. After
two successful shows in 2006 and 2007 the fans of the Mallorca Western
Festival can look forward to a third edition of this fascinating event
in 2008. „The festival programme will be tightened. Instead of five
there will be four action packed days peppered with all kinds of different
show elements combined with top-class sports“ says Frank Lichte,
managing director of the promotor Event Consulting International.
On Thursday the big Opening Gala will put the spectators in
the right mood for 3 exciting and eventfull days. The well-established
„Mallorca Reining Trophy“ will take place on Saturday September
13th and the prize money of 150.000 US$ will make sure that the crème-de-la-crème
of the reining sport is at the start for the qualifications on Friday.
Although it is still early some American riders have already confirmed
their participation in 2008 on the occasion of a meeting with the event
director Frank Lichte. An exciting competition which will decide over
the positions in the world rankings is guaranteed. On Sunday, the last
day of the event, the non-pros will compete for a handsome prize money
of 20.000 US$. The fascinating show of the public´s darling Jean-François
Pignon & friends will be the highlight of Friday and Saturday night.
On Sunday the audience has another chance to see this spectacular show
in the late afternoon.
Granting a spectacular view over the arena during the competitions and
the shows the VIP boxes with their tasteful ambiance were received by
the spectators with great pleasure during the entire event in 2007. In
the VIP-section of the mirror tent guests can look forward to first class
catering and entertainment. On the entire premises of the Plaza de Toros
in Palma de Mallorca there will be attractions for old and young. While
the youngest visitors enjoy pony riding and other children´s attractions,
adults can enjoy the exhibitors´park and the delicious food of the
caterers in a cosy atmosphere.
